“We make it 6/4 that Trump will resign, so a chance of roughly 40 percent,” Paddy Power’s Head of Trump Betting Joe Lee told Mashable. “When he was inaugurated, the odds of Trump resigning before the end of his first term would have been 7/1.”
Last June, Schwartz went public with his feelings about Trump, expressing regret about “putting lipstick on a pig”. Schwartz claims to know Trump very well after spending hundreds of hours following with him and he wishes he hadn’t portrayed Trump in such a positive light.
“I genuinely believe that if Trump wins and gets the nuclear codes there is an excellent possibility it will lead to the end of civilization,” Schwartz told The New Yorker.
Trump has since disputed Schwartz status as co-author and threatened legal action against the writer. Meanwhile, Schwartz has continued to be a vocal critic of the president.
